The Toronto African Violet and Gesneriad Society (“TAVGS”), is a chapter of The Gesneriad Society , Inc. and an Affiliate of the African Violet Societies of Canada and America (“TGS, AVSC, and AVSA”)
We meet once a month on a Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm from September to June.
We publish a monthly newsletter except for July and August.

- Single: $20.00; Family: $30.00 (Two persons, one mailing).
Annual Postal mail newsletter
- Single: $30.00; Family: $34.00 (Two persons, one mailing).
Life Membership
– Single” $300.00; Family: $360.00 (Two persons, one mailing).

The Gesneriad Society, Inc.
The Gesneriad Society is an international society focusing on Gesneriads. Membership includes quarterly issues
of Gesneriads – The Journal for Gesneriad Growers, a copy of "How to Know and Grow Gesneriads", a packet of
gesneriad seeds and wealth of information about our Chapters, Flower Shows, Publications, Gesneriad Resources and Seed Fund.

African Violet Society of America
The Toronto African Violet and Gesneriad Society is an affiliates of the African Violet Society of America (AVSA).
AVSA is dedicated to helping African violet enthusiast around the world. The bimonthly magazine provides current information
for the cultivation of African Violets and the annual convention provide a venue for showing and sharing of information and
new hybrids. It is an international society that connects growers and maintains a registry of the African violet hybrids.

New York State African Violet Society
The New York State African Violet Society (NYSAVS) was organized November 14, 1953. The purpose of the NYSAVS is to bring
together people that are interested in growing African Violets. NYSAVS is affiliated with the
