Description

In August and once again time for the CNE in
Toronto and part of that is the African Violet &
Gesneriad Show. It's held in the Direct Energy
building, which is air-conditioned, and a great venue to display the plants for the public to see. There are many different horticulture shows during the two weeks as each one is three days duration.
Our slot is August 18, 19, 20, 2019

In 2016 several of our club members found themselves there once again to participate in the show and have fun at the same time. We had 10 exhibitors!

We do all the work of setting up the show ourselves, which is different than at our clubs shows as there we have a placement team that takes your plants for you once you've entered them. We are given the space allotted and the CNE puts out the class numbers and we do all the rest. We place our own plants and do all the staging needed to make it a nicely presentable show ready for judging. It is a
great experience too because it's a real eye opener to realize, and appreciate, all the work that has to happen to get the club's shows put together.
