Who we are

The name of this organization is the Toronto African Violet and Gesneriad Society (“TAVGS”), a chapter of The Gesneriad Society, Inc. and an Affiliate of the African Violet Societies of Canada and America (“TGS, AVSC and AVSA”).

What we do

The purpose of the Society is to afford a convenient and beneficial association of persons interested in the gesneriad family and the African violet and to stimulate widespread interest in the propagation and culture of gesneriads and African violets.

Our Projects

Members of TAVGS get together on a monthly basis, on the second Sunday of each month from September to June. These meetings will often include guest speakers, beginner's corner, raffle table, plant sales and other interesting items.
